Security & Privacy
Strong encryption, right in your browser.
Your note and its attachments are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they are uploaded. The server receives encrypted content, while decryption takes place locally in the recipient’s browser.
The standard note link carries its secret material in the URL fragment.
WizzNote reads it into the current tab and replaces the visible address with the main website address. Secret link data is kept out of browser localStorage, sessionStorage and history state.
Dedicated key derivation separates encryption from access authorization. PBKDF2-SHA-256 processes the secret material locally with a fresh salt and your optional additional password. HKDF derives separate encryption and authorization keys, allowing the service to verify retrieval permission without receiving the note’s AES decryption key.
One retrieval. A lifetime you choose.
Choose how long your note remains available, up to 48 hours. Each note is designed for one authenticated retrieval. The server-held encrypted note is removed when it is released for that retrieval, or when its lifetime expires, whichever happens first.
The permission check and removal are handled atomically, coordinating simultaneous requests so that only one authorized retrieval can succeed. You stay in control of when the message is opened: selecting Read Note starts retrieval.
Password-protected sharing, your choice.
Keep the standard full link, add an optional password, or create a separate password-protected short link after preparing your note.
Share the image, not its EXIF history.
WizzNote removes source metadata from supported JPEG, PNG and static WebP images. Images are decoded into pixels, correctly oriented and re-encoded locally. The resulting file is checked again and stripped of source metadata blocks, including EXIF, GPS fields, XMP, IPTC and comments, where present in the supported formats.
This removes source fields such as the camera or phone model, capture time, embedded location and editing metadata from the processed image file.
Prepared attachments also receive fresh random filenames, keeping original filenames out of the shared package. The result is a new image copy focused on the picture itself.
Thoughtful protection for document sharing.
Share up to 20 supported attachments within a combined 10 MiB limit. Files undergo local format, structure and size checks before encryption, and the recipient prepares and checks decrypted attachments before downloads become available.
Image Tools: private processing on your device.
Resize, clean and prepare images directly in your browser. Image Tools combines source-metadata removal with dimension controls, JPEG/WebP quality settings and format selection.
Choose the longest edge, preserve image proportions and compare actual file sizes before downloading. Selected pictures are processed on your device without being uploaded to the WizzNote server. Download the prepared images individually or together in a locally generated ZIP.
With your approval, PDF pages are rendered locally and assembled into a new image-only visual PDF, built from page images rather than copied source-document objects.
Supported DOCX and XLSX files use a dedicated cleaning profile for document properties, comments, external relationships and embedded content. Embedded images pass through image cleaning as well.
More document formats. One private workflow.
Share documents from Microsoft Office and LibreOffice directly in an encrypted note: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ODT, ODS and ODP, alongside PDF and UTF-8 TXT. The document types supported by Metadata Tools are also available in the note attachment picker.
Supported Office and OpenDocument packages pass through format-specific structure checks and local cleaning of recognized document properties, comments and external references. Embedded images pass through image cleaning. PDF uses an approved image-only visual copy. Prepared files receive random filenames before browser-side encryption.
Original dimensions. Flexible media preparation.
Original dimensions keeps your image size while JPEG/WebP quality controls and source-metadata cleaning remain available. Size presets preserve proportions and reduce larger images without enlarging smaller ones.
Metadata Tools also prepares supported phone recordings locally as MP4 H.264 with optional AAC audio. Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p, a compression level and whether to keep sound. The device performs the conversion and recognized container-metadata cleaning; the result can then be attached to a private note.
Shorter links. A clearly timed private view.
The optional password-protected address uses a compact six-character fragment, such as #BFEa2G, with the same OPAQUE authentication and one-time message. Earlier protected-link addresses remain supported.
After successful decryption and display, a 15-minute countdown appears below the message. The local view clears its text, attachment links and download actions when the time expires. The deadline is checked again when a suspended tab resumes. This complements the separate server-side lifetime and one-time retrieval policy.
Your files together, encrypted from the start.
Attach up to 20 supported files within a combined 10 MiB limit. Clear file rows show each attachment, and Download All Attachments creates one ZIP locally from the files already retrieved in the current tab.
ZIP, RAR and 7z can travel as supplied inside the encrypted note, each with a fresh random outer filename. Their contents are preserved unchanged; use Metadata Tools to clean supported documents before packing. The downloaded ZIP is a local copy on the recipient’s device.
Your note is ready.
Copy the complete link before leaving this page. Treat it as a secret.
Optional: Create a password-protected short link
This is an alternative way to open the same note. Send its password separately.
At least 8 characters, with lowercase, uppercase, a number and a symbol. Generated passwords have 16 characters.Send the password separately. The original link remains valid until the note is retrieved or deleted.

Prepare documents and phone videos on your device.
PDFs are rebuilt as visual page copies after your approval. Office and OpenDocument cleaning removes supported metadata, comments and external relationships. Visible content can still identify you. Old DOC/XLS/PPT, macros, encrypted files and unsupported embedded objects are not accepted.
Up to 20 documents, 10 MiB total. Cleaning may remove document features. Your source files remain unchanged.
Converts supported SDR H.264, HEVC/H.265, VP8 or VP9 clips to MP4 H.264/AAC and cleans the resulting container. Maximum 64 MiB input, 2 minutes and 4096 x 4096 within 9 million pixels. HDR/Dolby Vision and DRM are not supported. Dimensions are never enlarged.
The processing engine (about 6 MB) loads from WizzNote only after you press the button. Video processing uses your device, can take several minutes and may change quality. A smaller file is not guaranteed. No video is uploaded. Audio and visible information remain unless you choose to remove audio.

Download the MP4, then add it to a note. The note still has a 10 MiB total attachment limit. No in-page video player is loaded.
